Mindboggling is what I would call it. I am amazed at the vastness of the Universe, the entire Milky Way and the galaxy and I simply cannot figure how it is all held in place. Well, it is at this juncture where even the atheist admits, albeit grudgingly, that there is God indeed.
In the early stages of universe, there were many speculations until the end of the inflation of the cosmos. The early stages of the timeline of the universe were as follows:
The earliest time in Physics is the Planck Era, from 0 to 10-43 seconds. However, during this period, very little is known
Electroweak symmetry breaking and the quark epoch occurs between 10–12 seconds and 10–6 seconds after the Big Bang. The temperature of the universe lowers and leads to the Higgs field to get a Vacuum Expectation Value. This breaks the electroweak gauge symmetry. The electromagnetism and gravitation’s fundamental interactions, both strong and weak interactions, take their present form. However, the universe temperature is still high and it is not in a position to allow the formation of hadrons. This occurs after the binding together of quarks.  
Hadrons epoch stage occurs between 10–6 seconds and 1 second after the Big Bang. It occurred after the quark-gluon plasma bonded together to form hadrons and anti-hadrons under high temperatures. However, when the temperatures dropped, the hadrons and anti-hadrons formation stopped.
Leptons epoch stage happens between 1 second and 10 seconds after the Big Bang. Numerous hadrons and anti-hadrons destroy each other at the end of the hadrons epoch stage. The universe mass is dominated by leptons and anti-leptons. The temperature of the universe falls leaving behind a small residue of leptons.
The Photon epoch stage happens between 10 seconds and 380,000 years after the Big Bang. The anti-leptons and leptons are destroyed during the lepton stage end and the universe energy is dominated by photons. The nucleosynthesis stage begins.  
It’s too simplistic, isn’t it? You know why? Because it has been boggled up by man trying to explain that which should be enjoyed as it is, that which should not be explained. It’s a wonder that no conspiracy theorist is involved here!
