Morocco is one of the North African countries that lie beyond the Mediterranean. Because of its rich cultural mix that involves French, Spanish, English and Arabian connections, it sees a lot of influx of visitors. Morocco has achieved a lot in the field of tourism in the last decade. It is also very good to note that one of the greatest Islamic tourist towns by the name of medina, where the prophet Mohammed of Islam always took refuge whenever he is attacked in Mecca is located in Morocco. There are several local and international airports located in the country called Morocco, but because of space, we are going to have a detailed look at two of these airports. These airports include the Marrakech-Menara International Airport (RAK) and the Mohammed V International Airport (CMN). Mohammed V International Airport (CMN) is the biggest and busiest airport in Morocco. It is located just 19 miles away from the city of Casablanca, and sits on a former site of the USAF Air Force base. The busy nature of this airport insures that it welcomes and boards more than 7 million passengers each year. The passengers normally come from New York, London, Cairo, Dubai, Amsterdam, Istanbul, Madrid, and Brussels among others. It also processes some local flights within Morocco. It has failed to reach concrete agreements for flights from Asia, Australia and South America, and therefore, does not process flights from these places. The busy nature of this airport can make you experience long queues some times. Marrakech-Menara International Airport (RAK) is the second busiest airport after the Mohammed V International Airport, and it processes around 3 million passengers. However, this airport only processes flights from mainly European nations like Lisbon, Frankfurt, Brussels, Paris, London and Oslo. For those coming from USA and Canada, they can connect this airport through the Casablanca airport. However, due to the demands and lack of proper organizations, you might experience long queues and communication problems if you do not speak Arabic language. There are other local and international airports, like the Ibn Battuta airport in Tangier, and they will serve you very well. Can you Buffer to the correct airport?
