That men utilize the left part of their brain only and women both sides thus making them multi-taskers may be true, but that is not what we are about here. For all of us, the brain is the most important organ of our bodies. Actually, it is the steering wheel of the whole human system. Its relevance can be more appreciated when we look at its complexity right from the various parts to their working.
It coordinates so well and carries all the functions of the whole body successfully. You would want to argue that your eyes help you to see but no, it takes more than you would imagine to perceive. Some of the functions such as hearing, learning and interpretation of language, feel of touch, memory, decision making among others are facilitated by this crucial organ.
It is has hundreds of billions of nerves that communicate through numerous connections known as synapses. The brain is composed of a number of interactive parts with each performing a different set of tasks. Although the parts are specialized as far as their work is concerned, they all work in unison. In general terms, they include the cortex, which is the outermost layer of the brain and is responsible for movements and thinking. In addition, in the list is the stem, situated right between the spinal cord and the other part of the brain. Your breathing and the sleeping moment you adore so much is only possible when this special part is working correctly.
Cerebellum is another part situated at the back of the brain and it gives you balance. Lastly, there are the basal ganglia that act as the control centre for all messages from all parts of the brain. The largest part of the brain is also divided into a number of lobes namely frontal lobe, parietal, temporal and occipital lobes. They carry out different functions. For instance, they are responsible for judgment making, managing sensation, memory and other crucial tasks. The brain is well protected from any injury with a hard covering called the meninges.

Can you assemble the brain?
